Characterization of the GRB prompt fundamental plane using Fermi-GBM data

چکیده

A recent work has found a tight global relation between the GRB prompt fluence, peak flux (based on optimum time scale determined from Bayesian Blocks-based analysis) and duration using data Fermi Gamma-Ray burst monitor, which they have dubbed as “Fundamental Plane”. We quantitatively characterize tightness of this Fundamental Plane by calculating scatter in dex. also check for fundamental plane over scales 64 ms, 256 ms 1024 ms. For our analysis, we incorporate uncertainties above observables carried out both PCA well regression-based analysis. find that is 0.16-0.17

Fermi Observations of GRB 090902 B : A Distinct Spectral Component in the Prompt and Delayed Emission

We report on the observation of the bright, long gamma-ray burst, GRB 090902B, by the Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) and Large Area Telescope (LAT) instruments on-board the Fermi observatory. This was one of the brightest GRBs to have been observed by the LAT, which detected several hundred photons during the prompt phase. With a redshift of z = 1.822, this burst is among the most luminous detec...

GRB physics with Fermi

Radiation from GRBs in the prompt phase, flares and an afterglow is thought to be produced by accelerated electrons in magnetic fields. Such emission may be produced at collisionless shocks of baryonic outflows or at reconnection sites (at least for the prompt and flares) of the magnetically dominated (Poynting flux driven) outflows, where no shocks presumably form at all. An astonishing recent...

The Theory of Spectral Evolution of the Grb Prompt Emission

We develop the theory of jitter radiation from GRB shocks containing small-scale magnetic fields and propagating at an angle with respect to the line of sight. We demonstrate that the spectra vary considerably: the low-energy photon index, α, ranges from 0 to −1 as the apparent viewing angle goes from 0 to π/2. Thus, we interpret the hard-to-soft evolution and the correlation of α with the phot...

assessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...

Correlating prompt GRB photons with neutrinos

It is standard in theoretical neutrino astrophysics to use a broken power law approximation, based on the Band function, to describe the average photon flux of the prompt emission of Gamma-Ray Bursts. We will show that this approximation overestimates the contribution of high energy γ-rays (and underestimates low energy γ-rays). As a consequence models that rely on this approximation overestima...
